Michele O’Donnell was a registered nurse dedicated to the care of critically ill children. Her passion is healing, and she worked unceasingly within our modern western medicine system—she was the founder of the first pediatric intensive care unit in the country. That is until her world took a U-turn. Her second daughter was born prematurely with so many physical challenges—including mental retardation from months of oxygen deprivation--that even her docs and co-workers doubted that she could be saved. The whole story of how Lara instantly became a normal little girl and the effect of this miraculous healing on Michele’s life, belief system, career, and consequently thousands of others is all in her first and still-best-selling book, Of Monkeys and Dragons: Freedom from the Tyranny of Disease.
Michele knew her daughter’s healing was from God. As her experiences and knowledge of spiritual healing increased, she left nursing and opened the first metabolic holistic clinic for the treatment of degenerative diseases. For 40 years, her clinic in San Antonio has combined spiritual healing with physical and metabolic treatment. Michele teaches that there are Principles of Life, that when understood and practiced, result in healing, regardless of the disease or symptoms.
